The Terrytown Revitalization Plan makes a number of recommendations for changes in Terrytown. Those recommendations were formally approved by the Jefferson Parish Council at its meeting on December 18, 2019.
Note: While the proposed initiatives in Terrytown are the primary focus of the plan, don’t overlook the demographic information on pages 14 – 18. Particularly worth noting is the fact that Terrytown per capita income is below that of the rest of the Westbank, which is below Jefferson Parish overall, which must be below that of the Eastbank. That gives the Eastbank an economic advantage when looking to attract new retail businesses.
