Responsibility for maintenance of street lights in Terrytown is shared between Entergy and Jefferson Parish. Generally speaking, if the street light is on a wood pole, it is Entergy’s responsibility. Otherwise, it is the Parish’s responsibility. A better rule of thumb is that the light is Entergy’s responsibility if there are also power lines on the pole. Still, there may be exceptions. 

But you don’t have to know which is which to report a street light out. Simply report the outage to Jefferson Parish Street Lighting Division at 504-736-6941. The Parish will repair it or notify Entergy if it is one that Entergy maintains.
